BECOME AN APPRENTICE

The apprenticeship program consists of 4000 hours of on-the-job learning and a minimum of 360 hours related training. Wages begin at 60% of Journey Worker scale and increase with each 1000 hours of on-the-job learning and 90 hours of related instruction.

The purpose of the apprenticeship program is to develop a qualified, productive, and safe workforce. A skilled workforce creates profit for the worker and the contractor. Owners of projects expect contractors to produce a quality project at a competitive price. Contractors must have skilled, safe workers to be competitive. Apprenticeship will give you a combination of on-the-job learning and related instruction to help you become a valued construction team member and a qualified Union Laborer.
The Southern Idaho Laborers Apprenticeship Program & LIUNA Training values the worth and contributions of all individuals, and does not discriminate against anyone based on race, color, religion, national origin, sex (including pregnancy and gender identity), sexual orientation, genetic information, or because they are an individual with a disability or a person 40 years old or older.
